Changes…

So Facebook have recently made some changes and removed the ability to schedule posts on some Facebook pages, it seems not all are affected by this change 𝙔𝙀𝙏!

For someone of the accounts I work alongside I have been using creator studio which works alongside Facebook and Instagram just the same as the previous Facebook schedule section of your page.

I know for many people change is a 𝘽𝙖𝙙 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙙, however it shouldn’t be, when running a business on a social media platform, we need to expect changes and also 𝙀𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚 the changes.

Customer Services

What happens when you ignore customer comments or messages?

You loose out, that’s what happens!

Respond to potential customers comments on your post, even if it is a simple good morning, Make an effort to engage with them, start a conversation with them, make them feel that they matter.

When a customer/client messages respond to their message, do not just read it and ignore it!! That is a sure way to put them off of doing business with you!!

Put yourself in your customers shoes, treat them how you would like to be treated.

Facebook Like for a like!

So today I’ve seen so many networking posts promoting Like for a Like??

Please just stop!!

Like for a like harms your Facebook business page!!

Yes it’s fabulous having lots of likes on your Facebook page, but what’s the point if they have only left you a like for one in return? They aren’t going to support your business are they?

Back a few years ago, I would be sitting here saying go grab those likes woooohooo, but times change and as a business you need to embrace those changes.

𝙍𝙀𝙈𝙀𝙈𝘽𝙀𝙍!

Page likes do not = sales
Page likes do not = support

Whilst we are talking likes, let’s quickly touch on 𝙁𝘼𝙆𝙀 𝙇𝙄𝙆𝙀𝙍𝙎, You can tell Fake Likers as some have NO profile picture, and most are from outside of the UK.

You should schedule part of your monthly admin to include facebook page maintenance, this should include removing fake likers from your page. I have heard of almost instant results from this.

If you would like any more information on this then feel free to drop us a message.

We can also provide monthly page maintenance for your business.

Customer Service

Let’s talk Customer Service.

Does anyone ever get very excited about purchasing a product or service only to be met with poor customer service? Did you find this put you off?

Over the weekend I have personally approached 3 businesses on Facebook. 1 for Items and 2 for services. Out of those 3 I have brought 1 item and not because of their amazing customer service, because to be honest, if I could find anywhere else that done the item I desperately wanted, I would have gone elsewhere.

Why I hear you ask?

The one I purchased from, I was asking advise as this item meant a lot to me, but I was just pointed in the direction of their website, no help or advise was given as such.

One of the services, I emailed and soon after I received a, what I assume was, automated response, informing me to email not messaged on Facebook, I was busy so I thought I was email the next day. The day, however, I woke to an email telling me to read the above!! Mmmmm bit off putting yes?

The second service, I was very interested in for a VERY special occasion. The responses I was given to my questions was very blunt, not very helpful and the last response I couldn’t even understand what one of the words said? I assume autocorrect kicked in and got it wrong 🤷🏻‍♀️

So what is the moral of your blog I now here you shout!

Customer service is an important part of your business. So don’t be blunt! If a potential customer is asking questions, take the time to reply, make them feel valued, make sure they feel they are purchasing what they wish for, don’t make them feel unsure in your business. Make sure you read over your response before pressing send, and if more than one of you running a business, read the previous replies before replying.

Remember:-

~ Customer service is the key to people purchasing goods or services.

~ Customer service is the key to people recommending you to other.

~ Customer service is the key to people returning to your business.

One size fits all?

You’ve all heard the saying One Size Fits all haven’t you?

Well in terms of social media this isn’t always the case.

We often have people come to us saying “why isn’t my business growing like theirs”. Well there could be lots of factors behind this.

A few years ago we worked with a lovely lady who created beautiful items, we talked her into sticking with Etsy, as she was getting sales on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter but not constant!! She has now made her 992 Etsy sale since 2014!! Amazing hey!

There are businesses like hers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter that do amazingly.

So the moral of the story is Some businesses gain more on Facebook than others and the same with Instagram, Twitter and Etsy.

It’s about trying these things and sticking with it and experimenting. After a period of time you will be able to establish if this is the place for your business to grow or not.

There is no right or wrong social media platform there is just more suitable platforms.

How I got started.

Welcome to S.H Virtual Assistant.

I thought I would introduce myself and give you a little background about me.

So here I am, I’m Samantha, the founder S.H Virtual Assistant.

So what made me start?

Well I’ve had been helping several friends and associates market their businesses over the past 4 years, promoting their items, helping run their business pages and a very good friend of mine who I was introduced to 4 years ago when I ran my own business networking page for crafters said “Sam your so good at this why don’t you make this a business” and so here I am.

Lots has changed over the years in terms of Social Media and business marketing. Social media is now the biggest business marketing platforms.

However it takes businesses time to promote their goods and services, valuable time that could be spent actually creating or running their business and that’s where I come in.

I’m here to take the marketing and promotions pressure off of you.

If you would like to know more about S.H Virtual Assistant services and how we can help you, please feel free to contact us.

When the going gets Tough

The current unpredictable times.

Many small business are inboxing us saying that their business have slowed down and/or are not doing as well as they normally do. So I wanted to try and offer some advice to you all…

It’s natural to want to hide away when the going gets tough, but it’s so important you stay visible and continue to share, post content, let people in behind-the-scenes. Your presence online matters and will help fuel your business when things pick up again. If you don’t, and you do hide away, then When things start to pick up people will be looking for that amazing business and when they get to your business page will look and think oh maybe they have closed or aren’t as great as I first thought when I was looking at all their amazing and current posts.

So DON’T hide away, but instead share how you’re finding perspective, offering service and assistance to others, or working through the challenges that have come during this time. That vulnerability is the thing that will connect us all right now when things are unpredictable. 🦋
